An apology
Why so quiet, I [imagine] you ask? Well, the appauling service I received from my ISP, Virgin.net, meant that I was not able to update MeBay for weeks at a time. Also, I got fed up sending endless emails to people who failed to cough up for things they'd bought from me.I raised a total of £150 towards my trip to New York and plan to go later this year, probably in the summer.
Thanks to everyone who offered support.

How much money do I hope to raise?
That's a tricky question. How long is a piece of string? I need £250 for the flight plus accomodation and a little spending money. And I'd like to get a cheap secondhand laptop to take with me if possible.Incredibly, my Mansun promo bookmark has just sold for £25.30, taking the total raised so far up to £84.11 (about $140). Keep the bids coming in - I've put more items up on eBay today.
I am sure that Coldplay are lovely, lovely people but their records bore me rigid. The Blue Room EP was OK though. Why not bid on a super-rare promo CD copy now?

Two things made me smile today. I've received an e-mail from a Parisian bidder about shoddy novel Come Together. He says "satisfied purchaser happy to burn evil piece of propaganda on Champs Elysee". Secondly, the Gawker story on MeBay is now top Google result for "cheap londoner".
